@oltsm:
I agree that there may...Thanks Friends...

@oltsm:
I agree that there may be other reasons like natural cycle etc etc but for the time being it is proven by so many models that "human activity" is a factor in climate change, esp greenhouse gases. My point is if there is the SLIGHTEST chance of it being true then we don't have much time to react. Then we need to act.

NOW Coming to your point of "arrogance", I think that logic fades here. The reason is humans as a species have done wonders during its evolution and the speed of change is only increasing. Just think about the changes in past 70 years and there is a reason to believe that human activity has the potential to do almost anything. Take for example, International Space Station (I deliberately left the idea of landing on moon :)), or advances in medical science, or internet and advance electronics, all these are not small things and if HUMANS CAN DO THESE, they definitely have the ability to do destructive influence. THERE IS NO POINT OF ARROGANCE.

As for Swine Flu Conspiracy Theory, well, I am always your fan :) It possibly can be a terrorist act.

@Gopal.G:
Thanks for your valuable comment sir. The irresponsible behaviour of humans is bigger threat than diseases, aliens or anything else for that matter... Population explosion, man's selfish and vulgar display of wealth for nonessentil purposes like long weekends, watering lawns , wasting huge quantity of food quite indifferently etc. are some. Nature will take its own protective measrues like catastophies to limit such acts if man does not change his attitude.Gopal.Ghttp://ofcourseyes.blogspot.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5150110713299687755.post-37581697587372361872009-05-02T15:02:00.000+05:302009-05-02T15:02:00.000+05:30I have a few comments -
While, I do not disagree ...I have a few comments -

While, I do not disagree with the fact that we are in a dipression (perhaps the Greatest dipression) I have certainly few issues against the global warming propaganda.

1. The effects of the so called Global Warming that we may be witnessing might be a part of a very large natural cycle which repeats say every 700 years and the things might just be part of that cycle. Second, which is my primary argument against Global Warming - To think that actions of a few human beings (largely that of a single Country), could materially change the Climate of the earth is nothing but sheer arrogance of the human race. Having said that I am completely against gross and widespread abuse of natural resources and I will preach (as well as practise) a conservative use of resources.

Swine Flu - I just mentioned that it might be a case of Bio-terrorism based upon from what I heard from the grapevine.

Markets - I don't understand.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
